A student claims the concept for the movie was stolen from his homework assignment!
Constantino Basile says his script ideas were so good that they were in fact used in three different big Hollywood movies including Men In Black.
A film school student has filed a lawsuit against the writers of the Men In Black 3 movie claiming the story was ripped off his homework assignment. He's suing for two billion US dollars!
According to the legal documents, Constantino Basile says his script ideas were so good that they were in fact used in three different big Hollywood movies including Steven Spielberg's classic SNL short "Laser Cats 7".
Basile also claims he submitted his stories "The World of Jupiter" and "Crisis on Jupiter" as assignments for a class at Los Angeles Film School back in 2011. But says a teacher at the school sold his work to Hollywood film writers - who incorporated various elements of the stories into their movies, including "MIB 3," "Prometheus," and "Elysium."
Sadly, those films did just fairly by critics even though "Laser Cats 7" was considered pretty damn funny.
Reports confirm the young man filed the lawsuit without an attorney. He wants $2 billion in damages.
