Brazillian To Become World Most Expensive Defender
Heading to Paris!
French Ligue 1 clubs have gone on a rampage to ransack other big clubs in Europe who 'possess' what they need in a player.
Hours after Cole disclosed his disinterest to discontinue his playing career at Chelsea, Russian Billionaire backed Monaco came out with an offer for the 33 year-old former England left back. The French giants have offered a tax free salary deal to the player who insists that he will be playing in the Champions League next season.
It appears the exit of Cole marks the exodus of players from Chelsea, rumours about the departure of Brazillian defender David Luiz is, by each passing hour confirming to be true. It is reported that Chelsea are in advanced talks with PSG for the sale of the 27 year-old. PSG are reported to be offering £40m for a transaction that could possibly be worth more than that, it is calculated that the fee could worth as much as £50m with options attached such as PSG winning the Champions League with the player. Discussions are on-going and the deal is expected to be agreed upon anytime soon.
£23.5m Luiz left Benfica for Chelsea in January 2011, he has won both the European elite club competitions with the London club in his three years stay but later found himself in a grapple on the field of play. The player stands as a saleable asset for Chelsea as they can only do business within the restrictions of the UEFA Financial Fair Play conditions.
David's exit from Chelsea to PSG now directs Mourinho's trust and confidence in the right back to 19 year-old French defender Kurt Zouma who was acquired form St. Etienne in January for £12.5m and he will join the Blues first team after his participation at the 2014 FIFA World CUP.
David Luiz's transfer deal, if it pulls through, will make the Brazillian the most expensive defender in the world.
