It really doesn't pay to Sting's kids, now does it!?
Sting has deprived his six kids of his $300M fortune, says they should work for their own
British music legend, Sting has denied his kids any access to his three hundred million US Dollars fortune, should in case he dies.
The singer told the Daily Mail, he wants his children to work hard to achieve every dime but not depend on his money. Sting grew up poor near the Wallsend shipyards in England and has an estimated net worth of $300M.
"They have to work. All my kids know that and they rarely ask me for anything, which I really respect and appreciate," Sting told the paper. "Obviously, if they were in trouble I would help them, but I've never really had to do that. They have the work ethic that makes them want to succeed on their own merit."
The 62-year-old musician has six children – two from his marriage to Irish actress Francess Tomeltry and four from his current marriage to English actress Trudie Styler – and told the paper that he didn't want to "leave them [his kids] trust funds that are albatrosses round their necks."
According to The Police frontman, the issue of his inheritance might not come up at all, considering how fast he goes through it. Sting has over 100 people he employs, and said in the interview, "There won't be much money left because we are spending it! We have a lot of commitments. What comes in, we spend, and there isn't much left."
Do you think Sting is being a selfish dad or he's doing the right thing for his kids?
