Rain, Rain, Go Away! Female Student Killed By Flash Flood After Heavy Rain

A female final year student of Aliseme Mixed Secondary School has died in a flash flood after heavy rainfall in Alieshime community, Agbor Ika South local government area of the Delta State.

The deceased, Bose Igbenoba, was a candidate of the ongoing Senior School Certificate Exam (SSCE) until her death.

Sources in the community say the victim was swept by flood water into a deep gutter and she drowned before help could come her way.

It was also reported that the heavy rain destroyed several houses, a poultry farm and electricity poles

The victim has since been buried.
