German Machines Out! Bayern Exit Champions League With Tails Between Legs After Real Madrid Drubbing

Reigning European Champions Bayern Munich have exited the Champions League after a Ronaldo and Ramos inspired Real Madrid secured a 4-nil victory over the Bavarians on Tuesday night.

Bayern were drubbed before their home fans by a rampaging Los Blancos team.

Ramos' goals were fired in in quick succession, stunning the hitherto invincible Bayern team that also lost the first leg of the fixture.

Ronaldo seemed to have sealed the win with a cool finish in the 34th finish, but he went on to compound Bayern coach Pep Guardiola's woes with a 90th minute free kick that curled over the wall and beyond Neur into the net.

The Portuguese' two goals have edged out Lionel Messi as the record holder for number of strikes in one UEFA Champions League campaign.

However, a rather rash 38th minute tackle on Bastian Schweinsteiger by playmaker Xabi Alonso means the playmaker will not be part of the final.

Real Madrid will now wait for the second semi-final match between Chelsea and Atletico Madrid to know who they will play in the final.

This is the Blanco's first Champions League final since 2002.
