BBC Releases list of five nominees to contest for the 2014 BBC African Player Of The Year
The BBC released a list of five players in contention for its annual African Footballer of the year award

The award which is the only second in the world that recognizes the prowess of African players based in Europe is in its 15 edition after it first debuted in 2000
For the 2014 awards, Nigeria’s goalkeeperVincent Enyeama is again nominated alongside current holderYaya Toure, Ivory Coast and AS Roma attacker, Gervinhoand Algeria forward, Yacine Brahimi who all have been nominated in the 2014 GLO-CAF Awards
The last on the list of nominees is Gabon and Borussia Dortmund player, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang
Previous winners of this prestigious award include former Super Eagles skipper Jay-Jay Okocha (twice), who is the first and only to have so far won it two times consecutively
The 2014 BBC African player of the year will be announced on December 1
