Boko Haram terrorists have reportedly abducted 40 women from Wagga village in Adamawa state

Some members of terrorist sect, Boko Haram are said to have abducted 40 women from Wagga village in Adamawa state.

The militants invaded the village on Saturday, October 18 despite a ceasefire agreement reached with the Nigerian government, PM news reports.

The recent abduction was reportedly confirmed by one Enoch Mark, whose daughter and niece are among the missing Chibok girls.

The schoolgirls were kidnapped on April 14 and the negotiations between Boko Haram and the Nigerian government were also expected to result in the release of the girls.

However, the battle between both sides is still ongoing and it is doubtful if a ceasefire is indeed in force.

Nigeria was declared Ebola free today, October 20, and President Goodluck Jonathan has reacted to the development calling it a welcome one.

President Goodluck Jonathan has reacted to Nigeria’s Ebola-free status hailing it as a welcome development.
Nigeria was declared officially Ebola free by the World Health Organization, today, October 20 after going 42 days without any case of the disease.
Jonathan honoured the health workers who helped fight the disease and also urged that citizens must remain vigilant to keep the country Ebola-free.
This was contained in a press statement released by the president’s Special Adviser for Media and Publicity, Reuben Abati.
It reads:
President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan welcomes today’s declaration by the World Health Organisation (WHO) that Nigeria is now officially Ebola-free after 42 days without any incidence of the Ebola Virus Disease.
 President Jonathan dedicates the certification to the many patriotic health workers, volunteers and ordinary Nigerians who worked tirelessly, some of them paying the ultimate price, to stop the deadly virus in its track after it entered the country in July this year.
The President seizes this opportunity to also reiterate his appreciation of the contributions of state governments, WHO and other international health organisations, relatives of infected persons and other Nigerians who either courageously underwent the rigours of being quarantined or complied with all directives issued by health authorities to defeat the virus.
He believes that Nigeria’s globally-acclaimed success against Ebola is a testimony to what Nigerians can achieve if they set aside their differences and work together, and calls on Nigerians to strive to replicate the unity of purpose and all-hands-on-deck approach adopted against Ebola in other areas of national life.
As the nation applauds the success of its collective effort to stop the transmission of the Ebola Virus within Nigeria however, the President warns that the entire country must remain fully alert and vigilant against the re-entry of the virus.
President Jonathan fully shares the view expressed by WHO in its congratulatory message to Nigeria that while we have won a battle against Ebola, the war will only truly end when West Africa, Africa and the world are declared free of Ebola.
The President consequently directs that all the anti-Ebola measures taken after the entry of the virus into the country should remain in place and that health officials should continue to actively screen persons entering the country through its air, land and sea borders for any sign of the virus.
He also urges all Nigerians to continue to follow the anti-Ebola  advisories on sanitation and personal hygiene issued by Federal and State Health authorities.

Nigerian billionaire, Alhaji Aliko Dangote has committed himself to the fight against Ebola in Liberia, an Executive Mansion press release states.

Africa’s richest man is said to have promised, while speaking to Liberian President, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf on Friday, October 17, to assist the nation with resources to aid it in curbing the spread of the disease.

The press statement reads:

Africa's richest man, billionaire Alhaji Aliko Dangote, has expressed his preparedness to assist Liberia in the fight against the Ebola virus disease.

An Executive Mansion release said Alhaji Dangote, in a telephone conversation with President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf last Friday, volunteered to assist the country with medical personnel and other human and material resources.

He promised that the Dangote Foundation would work with the Liberian leader’s office to determine what assistance can be provided, including support to professional healthcare workers.

President Sirleaf thanked Alhaji Dangote for the promised assistance and praised the Nigerian businessman for reaching out to the government and people of Liberia at this critical time.

This assistance will go a long way to help rebuild the country’s healthcare system with highly skilled medical doctors and healthcare personnel during this critical period and beyond the Ebola virus disease, said President Sirleaf.

Mr. Dangote is ranked by Forbes Magazine as the 43rd richest person in the world, and the richest man in Africa.

Boko Haram 400 Terrorists, 70 Soldiers Die In Adamawa Battle

A battle for supremacy between Nigerian troops and Boko Haram insurgents in Adamawa state has reportedly left 400 terrorists and 70 soldiers dead

A battle for supremacy between Nigerian troops and Boko Haram insurgents in Adamawa state has reportedly left 400 terrorists and 70 soldiers dead

A heavy battle which broke out between Nigerian troops andBoko Haram terrorists yesterday, October 6 in Adamawa has reportedly left 400 terrorists and 70 soldiers dead.

The fighting ensued in the towns of Bazza, Michika andMadagali in the state and was launched from Vimtim in a bid to retake the communities which had been overrun by Boko Haram.

A military source confirmed to Vanguard that about 400 of the terrorists had been killed in the battle which was coordinated by Major General Mohammed Zaruwa, the General Officer Commanding of the 3rd division.

The source said:

“I can assure you that we are advancing successfully. We have dealt a heavy blow on the terrorists. They didn’t expect what they are seeing. Our armoured tanks are blasting and they are running for their lives. The airforce is providing air cover and hitting them also.”

“I cannot give you a categorical answer regarding casualties but so far about 400 of the terrorists have been killed.”

70 soldiers were also said to have lost their lives in the battle, according to Sahara Reporters.

A soldier who escaped from the battle reportedly told SR that the Nigerian troops had lost at least eight brand new Armored Personnel Carriers in the battle and that “the heavily armed Boko Haram militants used three helicopters to reinforce their ground attacks against Nigerian troops.”

Boko Haram members are also said to have beheaded 7 villagers in Nguma, Borno state during a raid on Monday, October 7.

"No money was exchanged. No budiness was handled. This show was being promoted without my knowledge and I WAS NOT scheduled to be in Cameroon."

T-Pain was billed to perform in Cameroon's capital city, Yaounde back in June along side Nigerian music duo Psquare. From the official flyer (side photo), Cameroon's national telecom company, CAMTEL was sponsoring the event.

Peter is so miffed and surprised to see the Royal Dubai Police use his car just to patrol the streets of the city...Peter Okoye, the other half of the very successful singing duo called Psquare, is still in a state of shock as he could not believe that the status cars he and some of his colleagues spent millions of Naira to acquire and only drive on occasions to the admiration of their fans, are used as every day cars like taxis and police patrol vehicles in other climes.

So much was his shock when he witnessed something he could not believe in Dubai where he went on a playing tour with his brother, Paul, that he went to his Instagram page to update his fans and followers: the Dubai police use status cars likeBugatti, Ferrari, and most annoying, his beloved Bentley, a car that set him back several millions of Naira, as mere patrol vehicles.

Peter was so miffed and surprised to see the Royal Dubai Police use his car just to patrol the streets of the city and he screamed out:
